Flexibility OS for AI factories — Europe

Power,
negotiated.

Every 10 MW of AI load in Europe sits on a grid-revenue pool of €1.0–1.4M a year. Joule unlocks it — by reshaping your compute around the power market, proving every megawatt to the grid, and never touching a single SLA.

01 / Working with us

Three steps. No slides.

Step 01

Send

Send us an anonymized load profile of your site. Nothing identifiable leaves your premises.

Step 02

Receive

Within a week: a site-specific flexibility audit — revenue pools by market, compliance gaps, and the full methodology, so your team can verify every number.

Step 03

Verify

A pilot against live grid signals, measured at 15-second resolution. You judge us on telemetry, not promises.

02 / The shift

The grid just changed the terms.

Ireland · CRU 2025/236

≥10 MVA

New datacenters must now bring dispatchable generation or storage matching 100% of import capacity — plus 80% Irish renewables — or be refused connection.

Europe · IEA

~20%

Of planned datacenter projects face delays from grid bottlenecks. Connection queues are now measured in years.

Meanwhile

€135.5k

Per MW per year — the latest Irish T-4 capacity auction clearing price. Grids pay serious money for flexibility they can certify.

03 / System

One layer between your cluster and the market.

The promise is easy. The scheduling is not. Knowing which megawatts can move — which training jobs can wait, how much inference headroom exists this minute, what storage can absorb — and moving them without a single missed SLA is the entire problem. That is the engine we built.

L—01

Dispatch

Our scheduler models every workload against your service tiers — deferrable training shifts across hours, inference power shapes within seconds — and turns it into dispatch instructions. Simple night-window scheduling captures only a third to a half of the available value and misses the most profitable hours; in backtests, Joule delivers 2.0–2.6× that baseline. Fail-safe by design: when in doubt, your load follows its normal profile.

Markets

Day-ahead and intraday arbitrage, capacity auctions, frequency response — stacked per market, per rulebook, per country. Twenty-seven European markets are twenty-seven different games. We play all of them.

Evidence

Settlement-grade telemetry at 15-second resolution with an immutable audit trail. Built to survive grid-code testing, performance monitoring, and disputes — because flexibility you cannot prove is flexibility you do not get paid for.

04 / Numbers

Measured on real prices, not slideware.

€1.0–1.4M

Annual value pool for a reference 10 MW AI site — backtested against twelve months of real market prices in Ireland, Germany and France.

<60 s

Dispatch response of software-defined load. The Irish grid code allows one hour. We consider that slow.

15 s

Telemetry resolution, continuous, per site — the settlement standard capacity markets actually demand.

€141.9k

Per MW per year — measured average for FCR frequency response capacity in the German market over the past twelve months.

Methodology: oracle backtests on day-ahead prices (EPEX, SEMOpx) and ancillary capacity prices (regelleistung.net), uniform hourly resolution, energy-conserving. Read the full methodology →

05 / The company

A software company. On the operator's side only.

Joule builds and operates the software layer between your compute and Europe's power markets. We are not an aggregator, not an energy retailer, not a hardware vendor, not a consultancy. We sell no electricity and resell no flexibility — you hold the market position and the grid relationship; our software works them for you.

We are not tied to any chip, cloud, or hardware stack. Your grid relationship is a strategic asset — it should not come bundled with someone else's silicon roadmap. Mixed fleets, sovereign AI factories, colocation operators: if your infrastructure answers to more than one vendor, you need a flexibility layer that answers to you.

The model is simple: the audit is free, the software is priced to be a rounding error, and we earn a share of the flexibility revenue we measure and settle. If you don't get paid, neither do we.

  • Hardware-agnostic — GPU, TPU, mixed fleets
  • Your data stays on your premises
  • No revenue share with hardware vendors
  • Auditable down to the settlement record
